About Badger Junk Cars — Milwaukee's cash-for-cars team since 2014

Since 2014 we've been turning unwanted vehicles into the most cash possible across Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin. Running or not. One call, a real number, and the car gone the same day.

How we get you
the highest dollar

A junk car isn't worth one fixed amount. It's worth whatever the best buyer for that particular vehicle will pay today — and finding that buyer is the actual work.

Doing it yourself

You→Yard 1">→Yard 2">→Yard 3">→Yard 4

Four calls, four numbers, no way to tell which is fair. Most people stop after two and take whichever sounded less bothered — which is exactly what a lowball offer counts on.

Doing it our way

You→Badger→The whole network

One call. We already know which outlets want a 2009 Silverado with an intact converter this week, and which one is paying the most for it. You get the result of that, not the homework.

A distributor and recycler network

We don't sell every vehicle to the same place. Different outlets want different things — one is short on late-model drivetrains, another only cares about tonnage — and the gap between them is real money on your car. Working across a network instead of a single buyer is what creates the room to pay more.

Priced to the live market — daily

Steel, aluminum and copper are quoted every day, and the outlets we sell into move their buying prices with them. We re-price against that rather than reading off a rate card printed last quarter. When the market is up, that shows up in your offer — and a quote has a short shelf life for the same reason.

We shop it so you don't chase quotes

That's the whole offer, really. The ring-around, the haggling, the "let me call you back" — that work still happens, it just happens on our side of the phone. You describe the car once and get a number that already reflects the best home for it.

None of this requires you to understand scrap markets, and none of it changes what you have to do: one call, one number, one pickup. It's simply why the number tends to be higher than the first one somebody quoted you over the phone.

What stands behind the offer

Anyone can call themselves trustworthy on a website. These are the things you can actually check — an address you can drive to, a phone that a person answers, and numbers we've published.

4min
Typical quote

A real number before anyone drives anywhere

Most quotes are done in about four minutes on the phone. You're not booking a visit to find out what your car is worth — you know before the truck is ever scheduled, and you're free to say no.

82min
Average pickup

Same day, and usually within the hour or two

Averaged across our pickups, 82 minutes from agreeing a price to the vehicle being on the deck. Some are longer, especially at the far edge of the range late in the day — the coverage page is honest about which addresses those are.

$0
Deducted at pickup

The quote is the payout

Nothing comes off for the tow, the distance, or the fact that the car won't roll. No renegotiation at the curb — the driver arrives to load a vehicle at an agreed price, not to reopen it.

7days
7 AM – 9 PM

A yard, an address, and a phone that gets answered

530 S Muskego Ave in Walker's Point, open every day. Paperwork is filled in and signed at the curb before the flatbed leaves, and you keep a copy of everything you put your name to.

On paperwork: the transfer is signed at pickup, so ownership changes hands before the truck pulls away rather than some time afterwards. If the title has gone missing, raise it on the first call rather than on the day — Wisconsin has a route for that and it starts with the registered owner, so it's worth knowing early. Our non-running cars page covers the paperwork side.

How it works

Three steps, and most of them happen on our side of the phone.

1

Call or request a quote

Tell us what it is and roughly what shape it's in. The VIN helps, the plate works, and "a green Taurus, maybe 2005" gets us most of the way there.

2

Get your offer, priced to the live market

We work out which outlet is the best home for that vehicle this week and what today's metal pricing supports, then quote you against it. Take it or don't — there's no obligation and no follow-up campaign.

3

Free pickup, cash in hand

Same-day across most of the metro. The flatbed comes to wherever the vehicle sits, the paperwork is signed at the curb, and you're paid before the driver leaves. A car that can't roll or steer loads the same as one that drives.

Areas we serve

Milwaukee and a 40-mile radius across Southeast Wisconsin — four counties, one flat answer on the tow.

The radius is drawn from the yard in Walker's Point, and it's a genuine 40 miles rather than a number chosen because it sounds generous. If you're somewhere near the edge of it, give dispatch the ZIP and you'll get a straight yes or no before anything is scheduled.

What your address changes is when the flatbed reaches you, never what you're paid. There are no pricing zones, no distance surcharge, and no minimum a vehicle has to clear before it's worth the trip. The coverage page breaks the metro into timing tiers and is honest about which addresses run into the next morning.
